The Inner Workings of the Creative Process

Cinemagraphs

So despite the fact that the semester is over, I’m going to continue and use this blog to write about interesting things that I find online in the field of photography.  For example, these cinemagraphs by Jamie Beck.  I wasn’t able to find a website for her, so I just linked to a page that posted some of her work.  These are so fantastic.  They really catch your eye because you don’t realize until you’re really looking at it that they move.

    • I looked a few trying to figure that out too.

If you look at the one where it’s the man on the park bench with the newspaper, everything’s motion blurred and not moving, so maybe she took multiple shots, loaded them into the frame, then masked out everything but the man in all the images but one?

That’s the only way I could come up with.

I didn’t even realize until after I posted it on my blog that the image of the barber shop also has rotating lights inside the shop, not just the one outside. I thought it was really awesome. :)
